Choose the right match record
Read both teams, fixture date and competition. A score from a previous meeting can remain visible in search results or saved images. Use the current competition record when describing an actual match.
Understand the terms before comparing numbers
Points, matches played and other tie-breaking fields describe accumulated results. The exact competition rules determine ranking. Do not infer a team's final position from a single recent score without checking the full current table.
Keep the latest status with the score

- Read the innings label, runs, wickets and overs together. Check whether the display says live, innings break or result.
